About ACTS Honor Society

CHESS is proud to partner with the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) to offer students the opportunity to be recognized for pursuing excellence in academics, spiritual growth, citizenship, and service. ACTS Christian Honor Society is a meaningful recognition of a student’s consistent effort and integrity.

ACTS Christian Honor Society membership also serves as a meaningful addition to student portfolios, resumes, and future applications.

While ACTS recognizes students for their efforts, our hope is that students pursue excellence not to earn God’s love or appear “holy,” but to give God glory for the work He is doing in them and to continue growing in ways that bless and serve others.

Eligibility

Due to our partnership with ACTS, only students who are privately enrolled in 9-12th grade qualify for induction.

A student must earn a minimum composite average of 3.3 in each category to be selected
for membership. GPA is determined by a CHESS administrator.

Student Responsibility & Ownership

We encourage students to take ownership of this process themselves—from reading the qualifications, to thoughtfully choosing evaluators, to following through on deadlines. The application process itself is an opportunity to practice initiative, communication, and responsibility.

Application Requirements

The student evaluation forms must be completed by three non-family members (pastor, administrator, teacher, counselor, mentor, etc.).
